Premium Quiet-Step is a high quality underlay for floating wood and laminate flooring. It is high-density closed cell physically cross-linked polyolefin foam, which is 2mm thick and supplied in roll form.

The key benefit of Premium quiet-step is that it dramatically reduces reflected foot noise for the home owner, while also performing all the above tasks of a quality underlay. Independent University tests put this sound reduction at greater that 30% with a dramatically improved and more solid foot noise A comparative test can be performed using a piece of quiet-step and a piece of normal underlay underneath two squares of laminate flooring by lapping on both with a coin, the dramatic improvement in foot noise can be clearly demonstrated.

Excellent Impact Isolation

Premium quiet-step also provides excellent impact isolation for multi-story applications. The field impact isolation test (FIIC) is performed in accordance with the requirements if DIN 52210. This test is designed to measure the amount of foot drop noise transferred through the floor, underlay and sub-floor into the room below.
